The British Biophysical Society (BBS) Biennial Meeting 2024 will be held at the Bay Campus of University of Swansea from 11-13 September, 2024. The meeting is expected to attract 100-150 participants.

The BBS, the second oldest Biophysical Society globally, was founded in 1960. Its Biennial Meetings have most recently been held in Galway (2022), On Zoom (2020), Southampton (2018) and in Edinburgh (2017). 

The format of the 3-day event is a tried-and-tested two full days spread over three, starting at lunchtime on 11 September and ending early afternoon on 13 September. The programme (see page 3) will comprise 4 Thematic Strands featuring keynote and invited speakers, speakers selected from abstract submissions and 3 BBS Award recipient lectures. There will be ample time for informal networking during numerous breaks, lunches, poster sessions, a BBQ in the evening of 11 September and a Conference Dinner on 12 September. 

The BBS Biennial Meeting 2024 will feature a trade exhibition which will provide our sponsors with a continual interface with other participants. The trade stands will be co-located with the posters and our bar! There will be two formal poster sessions and tea and coffee breaks will be held in the poster/trade exhibition area.
